Not that clever.. a better tactican would have played possum, brought them in close and then denied the offer after they had shown their hand. He thought his staunch public rejection of powerful people would go unpunished? He's ego and rubbing people up the wrong is a big reason we have been held under water for over a year. I'm personally pleased to see the back of him, sick of the childish public spats and tantrums not letting smarter people have his ball.
