I took the time to participate in the conference call yesterday afternoon and the mood was very upbeat and confident.
Ian has done a superb job in a difficult position in a difficult industry- absolutely no question about it and this is widely acknowledged.
He's leaving on excellent and amiable terms but he won't be putting his feet up apparently. In fact he's staying in consultancy with Duncan for a while AND he stated he will definitely be maintaining his exposure as a Top20 shareholder AND he also stated he was looking to bring value to other projects. I thought this was very interesting considering GOR will likely be in a position to look for other potential winners but this is purely conjecture.
What isn't conjecture is when I texted my congratulations and farewells to Ian he replied his appreciation and reassured me that GOR was in very safe hands with Duncan at the helm.
