There are a few things to take out of this announcement:
1. The company has continued to flourish on essentially auto-pilot (no disrespect to those interim players) for six months imagine what it can do with a new CEO.
2. They have taken their time to select a CEO and not rushed to appoint anyone - the sting in the tail might be that the preferred candidate had to wait out a gardening period before accepting due to a non compete.
3. Whilst not well worded it takes a bit of wind from the shorters sails as there is risk for them dependant upon who is announced. Do they punt on he market liking or hating the new CEO?!
4. This is tongue in cheek but I'd kill to the the CEO of this - imagine cashing some options in 18-36 months!
