I lived there for 10 years kentucky and California , oil has been replaced in the last 20 years with gas and to a lesser extent heat pumps (electricity)in the warmer states.

TOld my mate in California about this yesterday as he was looking at solar for an off grid house application.
THis has plenty of potential but would think there will be plenty of competitors.
