Hi cara, They would certainly be in, or through the Dongara target by tomorrow morning if not already. In addition to mudlogging, they probably have the LWD (Logging While Drilling) tool which is near the front of the drill string and gives real time log information on things such as resistivity and gamma ray and hence potential hydrocarbon zones and sand/shale lithologies.
It will be interesting to see if there are any "early indications" of success or otherwise in the Dongara target by the pre-opening buy / sell orders. A trading halt in the morning (April 6) for both MEL and VEN, could be a positive indication, incase they are concerned about a leaky wellsite.
