I'm kicking myself on NWE too, as I had to sell a largish parcel (not all) of NWE shares pre-Lockyer Deep-1 discovery announcement, to cover my MEL capital raise obligation....... Unfortunate timing I'm afraid, but it's so easy in hindsight. Lockyer Deep-1 could have been a duster......
An important take-away for me from today's Lockyer Deep-1 announcement, is highlighted in blue below. If the large, east bounding Beagle Fault at Cervantes, has similar fault-seal integrity as the large, west bounding Lockyer Deep Fault at the Lockyer Deep Gas Field (which has sand on sand juxtaposition across the fault), this bodes well for further de-risking the chance of fault seal leakage at Cervantes. Surely an oil discovery at Cervantes would get MEL's flat-lining share price moving in the right direction; nothing else, not matter how good the news, seems to help MEL's SP.
