Hi 123enen,
yes it has, the location of the next hole has been changed based on what we have learned from the hole just drilled.
The "direct pathway" that Alistair talks about is what is called a "feeder" or "feeder system"
Imagine a volcano and there are fissures that spew lava out of the sides of the volcano rather than the top. This is what we think we have found...a fissure.
By logging the mineralisation we can work out, roughly, where the "lava" came from. The lava is this instance is copper/gold mineralisation.
that is it in a laymans term, the technical stuff was in the announcement....
These type of mineralised systems are huge and they have hogh grade zones and low grade zones....
The Cadia mines in NSW that are owned by Newcrest are such systems...they take many millions of dollars to find and prove commercial then they are cash cows.
We paln to take then to a stage where someone like Newcrest spends the big money to farm-in.
Our real focus is on Irvine.
Cheers, Tony.
