Olig33 ..No ..it's par for the course...it's what is called a shake out..very often if a share is heavily promoted by a large group such as Motley Fool many many buyers with limited experience will rush in without much understanding and are essentially having a quick gamble..as short term momentum changes ( such as caused by a very misleading article ..indeed lies often planted by those who will get cheap shares) the buyers then panic and sell...while longer term investors really evaluate and accumulate...
knowing that price always increases with rising strong revenue growth and rising profits .

Longer term investors take advantage of this Herd Behaviour and know from observation that when these shares are absorbed that the price will rise .

What you are witnessing is Herd behaviour ..follow the crowd..."quick quick follow the crowd "..very common in all social animals ...it's called the safety of the crowd ...which is NOT SAFETY ...the crowd is never correct and that's why all animals panic and run like horses, cattle ,wildebeests ,lemmings they just panic out of control often going over cliffs to their death ..this could be caused by one animal running away from a snake and the rest just follow ...this panic reaction in all cases runs to exhaustion .

Olig the StockMarkets behave just the same...but this panic to get out. ...will reverse to panic to get back in ..as the shares begin to turn as sellers exhaustion is completed and there is the "Fear of missing out "..as the shares begin to move back up..but now Demand begins to outstrip Supply at those lower prices and the prices moves up quickly to more realistic levels ..it's all quite IRRATIONAL BEHAVIOUR and soon passes.

That is why you must do your research and understand the true Value of what you are buying..indeed the growing value and in turn the rising price will always gradually follow in the direction of rising revenue and growing profits.
