re: Ann: CFU signs new contract with EON for ... I would think there is a definite possibility for government grants at the moment. With the amount of money that governments are putting into the system there should be something that flows our way? Either German govt helping on the development of the plant? Aus govt helping out the small green business? UK govt helping to keep jobs in the UK?
Any one of the above governments tipping in money for the green issue? (less likely Aus govt unless the guys come up with some changes to include air con in the system)
With orders so close, a product that could substantially reduce greenhouse emissions, reduce the need for additional power stations and be implemented quickly across a broad spectrum of the population, you would think there would have to be money? (Any one know Richard Bransons email address?)
They need to find a private equity firm that would be willing to do a debt deal with a potential to convert to equity at a 20% discount to the market price at the end of the term (say 3 years).
This would give CFU enough capital to continue full steam ahead to commercial production, allow it to hold off on trying to realise some of the illiquid assets and allow it to allow it to budget interest expense.
For the PE it would give income in the short term plus a nice kicker on expiry assuming that the company is in full swing production wise.
Seems to me it would be the best option (all though may be tough to find at the moment)
