The share price of COG today shows that holders are losing heart that the Board of COGs has the ability to carry through this deal, certainly on the terms proposed. Institutions and others have subscribed to shares at 9 cents only to see their capital 'go under water'. Maybe recent price action is that COG will have to top up the offer significantly, hence the COG price being sold down. Maybe the sellers have better opportunities elsewhere?
Who knows. When will the other interested arty show its hand, if it intends to bid?
