I think that this announcement, and the decision behind it, is commendable.
Whether we, as shareholders, are entitled to know why Anthony Nantes' employment was terminated, is dependent upon whether or not value in the company, and our shareholding, has been compromised. If it's not, the we need not know, or care. "The public" have no right to know.
