Some feedback from today's AGM
At the meeting: Greg W, Jerel B, Peter Fr, Megan B, Kevin B
About twenty people audience.
Hope everyone has already read CEO's report, which is now available. I missed first five minutes of the meeting and for this reason had to catch up with the report after the meeting.
I managed to take a minute from Greg's time to ask questions without knowing if the topics were included in his report:
1. AMD (as Hoyland asked). - Next results will be available soon as scheduled. No deep talks with anyone at this stage. Everyone interested (and there is a lot of interest) is waiting for these result.
2. Who is going to be selected to fulfil the vacancies? - Having in mind current and the following stages of the company development they are looking now for high profile medical and technical experts in the US and probably more likely from Europe. (OPMD sounded as a primary reason)
3. Where are we now up to with the partnering for OPMD? - Benitec is not necessarily looking for such kind of advancement with this program. By holding it at home the company may crop all the rewards. OPMD as orphan disease has a very well established path of harvesting if successful. (very strong and confident positive feeling) Total cost for the rest of this program is about 8Mln and sounded as easily affordable.
4. Has Benitec been approached/followed by major competitors (ALNY, SPARK)? - No, and Greg declined to give additional comments(the feeling was that he could have said a bit more)
5. Greg made a comments that he does not read HC because some people from his team keep an eye on the thread and suggest him that there is lots of misunderstanding and interpretations on this platform which are too far away from the real set up. He actually said that does not mind answering questions on the phone and clear the wrong statements.
6. I asked Greg if they take Hoyland's ideas and questions. The answer was that they follow up on every of Hoyland's suggestions because they find them loaded with high level of expertise and knowledge. So... Hoyland please keep being active there.
A minute with Jerel.
Jerel (talks with passion) selects his words very carefully and gives long and detailed answers supported with examples. Very realistic in any view.
1. How NANT look at Benitec? - As a long term investment. (very strong confidence)
The overall sentiment was that there is a vast amount of work happening behind the scene following a clear direction.
I surely have missed something but it feels it is a result of the level of contentment I received from the meeting.

...just two more inputs from the AGM...
I met a shareholder from Melbourne who attended the meeting from the beginning and he was nice to tell me: - "That the reason for David and Georgina not to present at the meeting was that both were doing a few presentations to the health authorities."
Also, the same shareholder who also spoke to Jerel: "I questioned about getting broker reports. We use to get regular reports by Marc Sinatra at Lodge Partners but there's been no reports for over five years. Jerel said he was well aware and wanted change in this area. He couldn't say whom but there will be updates reports. It's time to update."
