Q1 fy 22 results must have been alright considering the number of tweets on Eml this week.
firstly 30% revenue growth for q1 pcp is pretty solid and remember today’s contracts are tomorrow’s revenue. So whilst we may lose out on some implantation revenue in the short term with delay in program launches, the impact might be felt in 12 months. However we will hopefully have some tail winds by that stage - margins had been impacted by $1m negative interest rates, if rates go higher then we are winning / reopening and return to normal for g&I and travel cards / nuapay growth. Costs have increased but if they increase slower than revenue we will still get some jaws effects.
not sure if many watched Emlcon on Thursday but they have clearly articulated the whole ecosystem of business winning together. Humm basically said they could have built the payments platform in replace of EML but it would have taken them years and plenty of resources… then they would have to build distribution to other geographies. Rather they partnered with EML and within a very short period, integrated the tech and launched into au, nz, uk & now Canadian market - this is the value proposition of the ‘simple single integration’ to Eml and then the world is your oyster.
they also foreshadowed some pretty big deals. The whole cashless pokies /gaming card is something they are tackling via cherry hub. They jersey> Northern Ireland stimulus program have many other uk govt reviewing it given the success.
just have to get the cbi matter resolved and also appears that the class action firms have backed off
