This is some of the poison that the Labor/Greens/Teals Federal government is allowing the CFMEU and the 'real Prime Minister', John Setka, to get away with.
Note the restrictions on labour hire:
(from 'The Australian' online):
"...The agreement reinstates previously banned content under the building code, including clauses requiring employers to convert casuals to permanent employment, limit the use of labour hire and ratios to employ a minimum number of apprentices. Officials told the meeting that builders had agreed that CFMEU representatives would be able to enter construction sites without a right of entry permit provided they were invited by the employer..."
The annual five per cent wage rises will push up costs in the building industry.
Using ASH means employers benefit from filling staff holes quickly, but the CFMEU wants inflexible arrangements. Too bad if a worker throws a sickie!
How any SH in listed companies in Australia could vote for any political party apart from the Libs and Nats is beyond me.
No wonder employers have a productivity problem.
Recession highly possible in Australia, and perhaps stagflation.
