The airstrip is staying as likely is all of the infrastructure on Koolan staying because the local first nations people will be taking it over for a tourism . . . similar to when BHP ceased mining on nearby Cockatoo Island, where all the infrastructure stayed in place for the tourism business that took over Cockatoo island.
