Lower cut off means a lower PPM required to produce at a profit. The MRE cut off is set at the minimum PPM required for be economical.

The higher the MRE PPM cut off grade means it takes more to make money because the recoveries are low, opex high, basket value low or most likely a combined off all 3.

Heavy rare earth clay miners like VTM and IXR have a much lower MRE cut off because they require less PPM to make the money.

Caution. Quoting a COG for inferred resources (e.g. VTM and OD6) is a wild guess, a thumb suck or a dream/nightmare, at best.

The rubber begins hitting the road, and the COG has a semblance of economic reality, when a company, armed with all the modifying factors to a certain level of confidence, estimates ore reserves. Consequently I only take notice of IXR's COG.
