Yes couldn't agree more! I was tapped out by the time of the C/R but also ailing healthwise. The rest had caught me a bit offguard. I should have been far more suspicious and hard headed, like I am now.
Fact: the science is great!
Fact: the economics are NOT always so great! In fact, quite terrible for most diagnostic applications.
Because of the regulatory costs! This is where being realistic comes in.
Diasource would have had to stump up the cost of implementation and this was sucking up their profits, when we had none to offer and no sign of becoming cash flow positive. Now wonder they baulked.
Fortunately we have prospects in the wind. They're solid ones. No denying GC was instrumental in them either and he did have some bad luck here and there. But I'm fed up with the constant narrative that only GC and Our Matt* can save us from the scary boogy men. It's bizarre. At least the conspiracy theories have receded for now.
