But BIT225 was meant for HIV considering the investment in time and money and the possible partnership with Gilead. Biotron I imagine would rather explore other compounds at the time for covid rather than commit their high end drug, hence other covid-purposed compounds.

My sentiment remains Buy. This new strategic direction to commit BIT225 for covid to expedite FDA approval is a smart move that should have been done early. Its fortuitious that is not late to the party, if anything, makes it valuable.
