Power still not restored to Leigh Creek and this is now 54hours without any electricity or phone services for the town.

3 months ago there were discussions between Alinta and the SA Government with the government nominating the outback Communities SA body as being responsible for running the town when the Alinta Town lease expires in July 2017, as far as I am aware, not a single representative from this Outback Communities SA body has made the drive to Leigh Creek or organised any meetings with any of the residents or business owners in Leigh Creek or indeed made any public announcements about the future of Leigh Creek township.

Needless to say that the SA governments reputation in town at the moment is that of a fart in a crowded elevator.
