The political situation is a delicate one due to issues surrounding the transition to autonomy and TEG is profoundly aware of this. No doubt all TEG staff are experiencing some level of frustration at the pace of the renewal application but JT seemed philosophical about the situation and indeed commented that it was a major improvement on doing business in PNG. TEG is not the only operator in the area that has had to go thru this process, it is just the way things are done in that part of the world.
