I suggest that a linear percentage extrapolation is NOT the best way to project future earnings anyway from a growing base and with global mining industry activity clearly in a cyclical upswing.
I think they will do increasingly better each quarter / half.
In the 'gold rush days' it was the storekeepers selling the supplies and shovels (ie. the Imdex's of their time) that became rich, not so much the prospectors.
