A few things I found interesting at the meeting.
A. Request from retire mining engineer SH for the mgmt to counter 2 of the (PK?) PR points:
1 Mining the sacred mountain and 2 Despoiling a beautiful local waterfall with our mining filth
Rebuttal (from memory)
1. the sacred mountain is not Karangahake (maybe Moehau miles to the NE?)
2. the waterfall in the PK pictures is Owharoa. It appears to feed into Ohinemuri river which flows towards the west (towards Karangahake)
B. Prototype mill and concentrator/centrifuge are offsite being fed from at least 2 different ore sources for tuning for the optimal run sheet for each source. Results will dictate where exactly the mill will be eventually located (In or Outside of the mine).
C. Environmental factors are key. Can they prove the waste is inert-essentially quartz sand that would be safe for infill or bricks?
D. First blasting at Dubbo happened this week.
E. Some of the LTH are getting low on patience.
Happy to be corrected on any of the above. I was not taking notes
