The idea behind my comments is simple. OEC is been taken to the cleaners by management who say we must rely on defence industries. Remember OEC was at $1.60. That is why, right now, the sp sits 10c under the rights shares' price of $0.50. I have no problem with defence participants but business cannot accept wild rides that end with the Afghan-Taliban war. It seems to me that OEC has run a finely-tuned strategy with engines that are quite exceptional and must max out in the market they are geared to. Defence designed drones would just need to work in whatever environment needed. If those capabilities exist in OEC's drone engine why can't that expertise be applied elsewhere. But locking in as they are doing, is wiping the sp out.

Hence my earlier suggestions to invert their business model and build something like an "off the shelf" drone based on a good simple engine. The world has plenty enough room for new business. Customers were only recently recognising the value of toy drones and limitations still exist with distant, height, signal strength and lift capacity to name a few wish list items. The leap from there to drones for defence is huge and so I suggested off the shelf drones that might meet more business activities.

Thinking about it - they really could supply the world with a larger adult-toy but another thought is to manufacturer a fully compliant drone - body and engine. Do all. It does not need to be battery fuelled but lift and weight (using batteries) may work over shorter flights. It would not need 24 hour flight times but hey variuos ranges might be off the shelf as well. Stepping back from specialised defence drone design and development and move into or create new markets for Mr. Average may work.
