    In this case "social capital" more like social standing. So if a company or country takes major steps in the fight against climate change by reducing emissions etc, it increases its social capital. Eg Tesla has much social capital, having been at the forefront of the EV revolution, storage batteries etc. And likewise for companies that use green hydrogen & high grade Fe ore (like that supplied hopefully by Hawsons) to make green steel.
