They would of done a geotechnical report & environmental report which involves 9 - 26 drills to test the area.
I've worked with the GOAT in this field, as he always says you never really know what is actually ahead until you begin a full drilling programme.
The bottom line is that the original area would of cost a considerable amount. We're now taking a bit of a gamble that will hopefully only cost our contingency balance and some additional time.
