They seemed to go around whether they will go for CCUS, or CCS only - I guess they either might not want attention about that one, or might only be going for CCS.
Any competitor, while not locked out of the area, would be starting 1.5 to 2 years behind KDP, and data centres want capacity now. They say that there are not many sites with gas, electric grid, CO2, and favorable community support.
There is about 400 mw of self supply being looked at from an old gas powerstation, they said there were a handful of self supply projects, and KDP obviously has 510 mw. They said that there appears to be about 5 gw of electricity demand coming through, and the current grid (in that area I presume) is currently about 10.2 gw.
