@Growler yeah I was the one who asked about Uranium if there’s potential for west wits to do a JV for bird reed central & get some $ that helps fund qala shallows. Wish this was live telecast so everyone here would’ve gotten verbatim (& hope am not crossing any legal lines as MQ’s response was in front of all attendees at the AGM)
“we were really close to it Nik, had one company negotiate a fair bit but it fell through right on the signing table. To be honest it wasn’t because of the company but because we were greedy. We were trying to convince them of taking out the Uranium for themselves & Gold would be for west wits. Then Uranium price fell & this became history. Now its back up again & there is huge potential. Always tosing between waiting for funding for qala shallows & then be in a position to leverage that area ourselves or lock in a JV, given the learnings, we’d probably look to bundle both uranium+gold this time for bird reef central”.
