I'm not going to pretend to have a crystal ball. But my feelings are that the type of energy source, or the type of powertrain, will not greatly influence the desire for specialist off-road gear.
My sense is that electric vehicles, and longer term, driverless vehicles, will disrupt the daily commute to a much greater degree than it will leisure and/or specialist segments.
I'm not going to pretend to have a crystal ball. But my feelings...
