I was there today ... a bit late though
I was disappointed with how the board responded to the issues faced, raised by the questions about remuneration and prospects.
Defensive and some arrogance was the tone, I don’t think that they care what we think. No explanation as to why there have been no new business wins of recent times.
I hope that the same attitudes do not persist into sales meetings, customers have to trust and like the people as much as the product, they have to feel good about the buy decision.
The ceo is the chief sales person, even if he does not want to be, I get the sense he is more comfortable looking at numbers rather than at customers.
Perhaps most disappointing was that they provided no view as to the size of the prize, just that they were chasing big new business.
On the plus side the tec looks the goods, but then again the features were discussed but the benefits were unclear, I am sure they are there, customers may have to just uncover them themselves.
We don’t have the likes of a Tesla or apple ceo creating business opportunities with passion.
There was a confidence ( may be the cause of my reading some arrogance) about the board which reading between the lines might mean they know the new business pipeline is strong but can’t be announced.
This confidence in the product and what I read as confidence in future sales is why I will continue to hold.
