Another factor that helped New Hope to stack the board with their nominees was that they forced the resignation of four board members on the morning of the AGM. This was announced at the start of the AGM with no discussion and there were no alternative board members up for election. Just New Hope's smiling guys smiling already sitting in the board's seats.
Those in attendance seemed stunned since it was widely regarded that New Hope's bid wouldn't succeed.
It would be informative to know how their resignation was contrived but nothing has ever been explained regarding this.
