You may be correct re: Chinese Government, but I would imagine CNE's cornerstone investment came through the work of EAS adviser who were engaged some time ago - you would think this would be their bread and butter! i.e. wouldn't put forward a dodgy Chinese investment partner
One of the main items I am really pleased to see is still getting a mention is the following re: Fertiliser / Explosive Plant:

As best I can remember, for some time we haven't seen any real mention of the use of the waste products for fertiliser / explosives manufacture on site, which in isolation form gas/power gen would (ideally) be massive revenue streams.
I checked back over the HoA's announcements on LCK website, the HoA with AET Unit Trust was signed while we were still badged as Marathon (7/8/15) - not sure if it had an end date?
Gas analysis from the PCD facility would ideally allow for an indication of the qualities / quantities of fertilisers and explosives which may be able to be manufactured on site - hopefully future analyst reports give some weigh to these products.
Either way, all seems to be going to plan so far - but some big hurdles to overcome nonetheless
