Your comments amaze me. why cut down trees just for the sake of it? If they can drill without knocking a tree down then why knock it down? They are also drilling on farmed land.
You obviously don't realise that money talks. If Chalice wants or needs more land, they are willing to pay. The government need revenue and people employed. If there are billions of $ in revenue for them under the surface, they will support the mine even in state forest.
Look at LTR, the government have offered $300m to cover a funding shortfall.
