I suspect Domain has a few bad years ahead.
During COVID, Domain with the assistance of Fairfax ran extensive FOMO (Fear of missing out) campaigns to drive a huge surge in property prices (and hence listing numbers, adverts)
Now the market is starting to freeze as everyone who wanted to buy, entered the market in the past two years. Fewer people can afford property with sky high prices and serviceability requirements at current interest rate levels.
It would have been more sustainable for the Domain business long term, if they didn't hype the market and create a boom/bust cycle.
