Hi NOR,
PIF has been wound up. Its units are, as you say, worthless and unsellable.
By contrast, ARL is alive and well. Its shares trade on the NSX. I am no longer a director of ARL, but it appears that the directors of ARL have confidence in its future.
Time will tell whether that confidence is justified or not.
