There is no doubt that retailers feel the margin pinch as we try to absorb those increases a bit so prices don't go through the roof for the consumer. DDR will generally be bringing in around the same margins I would say, but if volume falls (which it might a bit in the short-term) this is not really positive for them.
My experience is that generally they aren't going to make a lot extra out of stock which was purchased at old exchange rates. That usually would be listed on their website around the same price and retailers will snap up some extra to try and cushion the blow on the next lot which comes through at higher prices. This is just my view from what I've observed anyway.
I also believe that some disties will hedge against the $ sometimes and there are also sometimes agreements in place with vendors (manufacturers) to offset some impacts of currency fluctuations. However I have no idea at all whether DDR has anything like this in place.
