I'm guessing that Ramelius could not move on Spartan prior to now because the big SPR shareholders were not willing to play ball. There was never a chance for Ramelius without Tembo and the German consortium selling their blocks.
I have thought for a long time that Ramelius should have bought Gascoyne for the mill when Gascoyne was all but busted. Besides being a screaming bargain the mill would have given Ramelius loads of options in the Murchison. But that has flown a long time ago.
