This increase in shareholding by Hugh Jones is a positive sign. Mr Jones was a director of AQZ at the time it listed and was one of the founder shareholders back in 2002. His shareholding has fluctuated over the years AQZ has been listed. He is obviously still well connected to the AQZ team, so I see his recent purchase as being made from a well informed perspective.
Will be good to get an update at next weeks AGM. Key will be Management’s outlook comments. My assumption is that Qantas flying may have been a bit subdued since the August year end announcement, however the impact of this is relatively immaterial with the prize of successfully deploying 32 E190’s over the next 12 months.
