Weren't people saying it was "pretty close to the bottom" at $2.80 though? If I was also to believe what was said on here, short sellers were about to get a spanking. But the share price has halved since then
Everyone knows EV production in the future will be higher than it is now. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. There isn't a lot of debate about the demand side of the equation, but the company and holders seem to spend a lot of time focused on it.
The more debated side is supply and just how much supply there will be to meet increased demand. Ironically, the company and its holders don't seem to spend anywhere near as much time debating this side. Not many people forecast a year or two ago that there'd be an oversupply in 2019, yet that's what we're seeing. The market is awash with new lithium production. So why are people convinced oversupply is a passing fad?
