I was trying to estimate how much this sale will add to the upcoming distribution.

But it is too time consuming for me to try to get a good handle on what the cost base is.

This sale raised $4.9M by selling shares at close to $2. I've had a go at trying to figure out what their average cost price is, but there are too many reports to go through and I'm not sure I found them all anyway. So I am going to make a huge assumption and call it $1. I found some large trades in the 60 cent, and 75 cent range back in 2018 and 2019, so I think $1 is a safe conservative guess. Could be significantly less.

So, in rough numbers, let's say the sale raised $5M, then $2.5M would be capital gains, with 109M units outstanding this sale adds 2.2 cents to the upcoming distro.

From time to time I've been trying to figure out what the distribution is going to be, but there are too many variables and too many unknowns to get a handle on it. I expect it will be big, but will just have to wait until May when they release their own estimate, then June for the FY to finish when the final number will be known.
