Min got the 80% of the exploration permits from Empire.
They did not "try to do a joint venture to reduce exploration costs".
They didn't bring NWE in, they litteraly inherited of the joint venture.
Neither did they "Immediately try to get rid of NWE", it's been a year and a half since the Lockyer Deep discovery during which NWE's share price has 10 bagged.
MIN made an offer at a market premium that each NWE shareholder had every right to refuse if they feel like it and most accepted.
Not exactly anything predatory here.
