I skimmed this in the Demetallica Target's Statement (12th October) section 5.16. You are right of course, the JORC came out last week. I should have read the fine print, the payment is a maximum amount and is based on a definition of payable copper which the JORC has not achieved yet. The trigger is 200,000 tonnes of copper (Measured & Indicated), currently the JORC is at 205,000 tonnes in total but only 54,000 tonnes M&I. So there's a fair way to go before hitting that trigger point.
I really hope AIC will just go away and leave DRM alone to keep exploring without interference. And if a future CR results in a dilution of their holding that is a good outcome in my opinion.
