in Oz was around $120 bill ...and now CBA has$20O BILL plus
exposure to residential market...safe to say that CBA
share price is vulnerable in terms of any reversal of interest rate policy.
Home owners/invstors with high debt to value ratios ie. 90%plus lending ratios can expect little mercy from lenders in a general downturn..once Banks/Lenders realise that shareholder value is at stake in a pronounced market decline..similar to current overseas experience..
Investors with multiple houses will be worst affected if the Banks ask for owner additional contributions to maintain existing loan to value ratios in the event of a confirmed downturn.
