CVC got in a few years back when Trojan TJN decided to liquidate their assets. Since then they have been a patient holder.
It refers to purchases made in June for about $1 per share - 500k. (They held about 23% prior)
A major shreholder has to notify the ASX if their shareholding rises or falls by 1%, and this must be within 2 days to memory. So what this is I'm not sure. (Maybe some1 can explain it).
The new purchase takes them to about 24%. At 25% some special conditions come in I think.
But CVC is not a takeover operator. Fund manager.
I think what might have happened is that with recent buybacks, share base has reduced, and shares bought by CVC in June have now taken them past a notification point.
Whether they are buying now or not who knows.
However 1% rise or fall must be notified immediately.
Bad day with world affairs not looking good.
I feel such pity for those ppl.
