So far as I am aware, EVN has never mad a public statement as to its intentions in buying the TBR parcel to obtain a 19.99% stake, which it purchased in a public tender authorised by the ASIC for slightly less than $3.74/share.
I somehow doubt if Klein took up the TBR holding simply as an opportunistic investment because EVN has often shown that it is ready to dispose of assets that it considers no longer fit into its overall strategy.
As to what that fit and that strategy might be, I guess we have to wait and see, or else guess at.
