My opinion only, but there are plenty of people out there who will buy something on some fairly flimsy reasons but with the knowledge that "the trend is your friend". I may have done that in the past..... In this case though, you won't necessarily be able to get out with a small loss should the trial results be sub-optimal.
And then there are the more intelligent investors (like ourselves of course) who reason that the shares must be going up for good reason and that some positive information is being leaked.
Put the two together and this is what happens.
