Andy, I should have added this to my earlier reply. Interpreting seismic while scientific is also part art form. Identifying faults, compartmentalisation, major/minor structures, traps etc can be quite ambiguous requiring more time to run greater analysis particularly on key elements that may effect deliverability, size and possible impediments. The important thing is to get an interpretation that has as a high a degree of accuracy that is possible from the base seismic data. For this reason timeframes to get to this level of acceptable accuracy can push out and often do. It avoids wasting money on drills not optimized or worse still, walking away from a resource that is actually economically viable. Time taken is generally a friend in this case.
