I commented on this somewhere.

Without the takeover, and with the drilling and 3D being so close now the share price would have almost certainly gone up (from around 5c)
Possibly, it would be higher than it is now.

I feel that with the MIN takeover the drilling program was overlooked by the market, and the NWE price became tied to MIN.
The market basically expected MIN to have no trouble completing the takeover, especially with the BOD recommendation.

If there was no drilling program etc, then when the MIN offer ends the share price would almost certainly have dropped.

However, an official announcement about the drilling program starting will, IMO, take NWE higher than where it is today.
