@justinmetals. You could be right in WA as it is not part of the NEM. But note, Perth basin is only partially linked to LNG spot prices due to State Act. Renewables firming capacity does not run just on GPG in the SWISS, rather a good part of the base load is still runs on poor quality lignite - that is politically underwritten by the voting power or Collie-Preston. These considerations are irrelevant though as they are beyond the time horizon of the NWE hold or sell decision. I'm happy to sell my NWE to you of anyone by end 2023. Retail just needs to understand when to hold.
