Alexei great analysis again.
It will be interesting with some larger holders on HC saying they will sell the majority of their holdings in the next few days.
I still think 80% will be hard to reach.
If I have the timeline right, the options the BOD exercised will not be eligible for CGT anyway, just ordinary tax.
A lot of the rest of the uptake, imo, is brokers buying on market and accepting the offer for a slight margin from the difference in NWE/MIN.
With the volume they make some reasonable money.
They will not get CGT relief either.
That is the danger of selling on market - big players buy and take the offer for a bit of margin.
I don't think MIN really care about the 80%.
I think they now have total control of the tenements, which was always their main aim.
Re the dividend, as I understand it, it was only an interim dividend so it is reasonable to assume there will be a final dividend in around 6 months.
Nowhere enough to interest me.
Bought a decent parcel today so happy for the people to sell down
Might buy some more but now becoming a large part of my portfolio.
IMO mad to sell before the drilling, especially after all these years.
It's like you do all the hard work and then turn back just as you get to the peak.
One part of me understands the larger holders getting nervous but they were a minority shareholder before and that hasn't changed.
I thought they were here for the drilling.
MIN have just made me feel more positive about the drilling.
They didn't make the takeover offer NOW for no reason.
They know more than us and have put a large bet on gas.
I will follow the $$
please board not bored - aaaaaaargh LOL
