Call me a cynic if you must, but as I understand it, MinRes are not legally allowed to purchase shares in the Target company [NWE] during the T/O period.

Financial institutions however can do what they believe to be in their best interests.

If they wish to remain on MinRes' Christmas Party invite list we can assume they will do what is expected of them...in the corporate world toadying will never go out of fashion.
